What we Believe
Jesus is the answer
2000 years ago a Jewish Carpenter named Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave. Our lives, our Church and our mission flow out of the abundance of Jesus sacrifice. When our faith is put in Jesus we are accepting of God’s grace to save us from our sin which gives us hope for abundant life on earth and eternal life with him in heaven .
Worship is our response
Jesus changes everything in our lives. Once that change is experienced we believe that our natural response is to worship whether that be through believers baptism, singing together, or giving to others and the work of the church. Each of these is a way we point to the change that Jesus has made in our lives.
Discipleship is our mission
After knowing Jesus, we believe that it is crucial for us as believers to continue to grow. This is done through discipleship. We work to achieve this in the lives of believers through bible study, preaching and teaching God’s word and growing in relationship with other believers
The Next Generation is our passion
We believe that at the core of every healthy church is a passion to reach the next generation. At HBC we are unashamed in our devotion of energy and resources into making an impact in the lives of kids, students and their families.
Service is our honor
At HBC Serving others and the church is vital to our participation in God’s plan. After knowing Jesus and following him in our lives, we believe each of us is given gifts for serving each other through the church.
